OSHA looks to the FRA for suggestions when Industrial Switching is taking place. Don’t be caught in the grey area, have MWR look over and audit your site today. We work with you to implement the industry’s “Best Practices” to improve site safety.
Midwest Rail is pleased to offer rail safety training, and programs for industries such as yours, designed to help employees improve safety by teaching “best practices” of the railroad industry. Our classes are designed around your employee’s to improve safety by improving upon what is already in place.
This program is dedicated to working with any industry that requires their employees to work on or around rail operations. With our “on site” training, we are able to show employees and managers that by using the “Best Practices”, it is by design proven to decrease Incidents/Injuries and Human Errors on the job.
What is “Best Practices”? Midwest Rail has designed the program with employees from the railroad who have realized that many industrial switching operations don’t receive the same training, but works around the same dangers and equipment. By providing the best practices to your employees, it will show them how to apply it to the job task and perform it safely.
What makes Midwest Rail unique? The training is designed for your workplace, your work environment, and your team. There is no reason to spend money to train employees on tank cars if all your industry only works with grain cars. By focusing on your product and your needs, it allows us to spend the time with what is important- providing safety training that works for your employees.
Operations Safety Training and Audits
Our team is well experienced and able to perform the following training/audits:
Observations/Audits: A member from Midwest Rail team will come to your site, observe your operation through speaking with management and employees, and review your working rules, work areas, rail movement and tracks. Then do an audit and provide honest feedback of “at risk” behaviors along with suggestions to eliminate them. Also provide an audit form that will be designed for your company to help recognize “at risk” behaviors.
Classroom Training: Midwest Rail will provide Safety Training to your team. Teach employees the best practices to help them understand the importance of applying them. Along with classroom there will be field training. At the end of the class there will be a test given on everything reviewed and test submitted to Management/Safety Department.
